Mist Hunters Season 2 will have no two-player or PvE modes, and online play continues to plummet

The developers of Mist Hunters have talked about plans for a second season, but so far, major player requests have remained unanswered. A two-player mode and a full PvE mode are not in the immediate plans, and the game’s audience continues to decline rapidly.

The team will focus on grinding and convenience rather than new ways to play. In the second season, they will increase the amount of loot, add a new season mode and a separate soul harvest exchange store, make the acquisition of camp materials easier, and improve the forging economy. There will be a separate gem storage, bulk gem removal, and some small features to eliminate particularly annoying operations.

After receiving a series of suggestions from players, the author of “Mist Hunters” is preparing a detailed update plan

At the same time, the developers consider the two-player mode problematic because of class balancing and possible divisions of the audience. The team hasn’t abandoned the full-fledged PvE mode, just in theory: according to the developers, such changes would require a serious rework of the game, so there are no concrete plans.

Against this background, the Internet situation appears increasingly worrying. The number of Steam players peaked at 44,472 on August 2, but the average number of players dropped sharply in September. In the past 30 days, there were about 5,300 players, a decrease of about 73% from the previous period; by the end of September, the daily peak number had dropped to about 2,600.
