Samsung has officially launched the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra and Tab S12+ tablets. These devices offer high performance, long battery life, slim, rugged designs and advanced artificial intelligence capabilities.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra and Galaxy Tab S12+ tablets feature Dynamic AMOLED 2X displays and come with the Galaxy S Pen stylus that does not support Bluetooth Low Energy. The old model has a screen diagonal of 14.6 inches and a resolution of 2960×1848 pixels, while the new model has a screen diagonal of 12.6 inches and a resolution of 2800×1752 pixels. In both cases, the screen refresh rate is 120 Hz and the maximum brightness is 1600 cd/m22. There’s also Vision Booster technology for improving image quality—it instantly adjusts brightness to achieve viewing comfort based on external conditions.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra tablet is 5.1mm thick – the thinnest in the history of the series. The manufacturer provides both models with IP68-compliant protection against dust and water.
The device is powered by the flagship MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chip, which is manufactured using 3nm technology and offers 19% better CPU performance, 17% better GPU performance, and 61% better AI accelerator performance compared to the chip in the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra. The tablets are available in 12/256 and 12/512 GB configurations; the older model also comes with 16 GB RAM and 1 TB internal storage.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra has a battery capacity of 11,600 mAh, which is enough to provide 23 hours of battery life; the Galaxy Tab S12+ has a capacity of 10,600 mAh, which is good for 21 hours of operation – in both cases, 45W charging is supported, with a charging time of 0 to 10,095 minutes. Note the presence of 4-channel spatial audio.
Samsung has released a Pro Keyboard for the new tablet – which features an aluminum surface, trackpad and Galaxy AI keys – as well as an ultra-thin book keyboard with the option of a comfortable viewing angle.
The software platform is Google Android 17, with One UI 9 interface plug-in and extensive Galaxy AI artificial intelligence capabilities. Multi-window mode allows you to divide the large screen into three parts to achieve multi-tasking functions; Samsung Browser supports the creation of AI summaries for opening pages, and supports Google Gemini’s AI feature suite. Samsung promises seven major system updates and security updates. The Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra and Galaxy Tab S12+ tablets are available in gray and silver.
