The largest IPO in history is coming: Anthropic plans to go public at the end of November

as he wrote Bloomberg Citing people familiar with the matter, investors’ expectations for the company’s value remain extremely high. Some market participants believe Anthropic’s fair valuation is between $1.8 trillion and $2 trillion. If these predictions come true, the amount raised could exceed SpaceX’s recent offering, making it the largest public debut in Anthropic’s history.

At the same time, the company’s financial indicators show a contradictory picture of rapid growth and large-scale expenditures. Revenue will grow more than tenfold to approximately US$4.6 billion in 2025, compared with US$386 million in the same period last year. However, operating expenses resulted in an operating loss of more than $8 billion.

Most of the nearly $42 billion in net losses in 2025 will be due not to operating activities but to changes in the fair value of the company’s liabilities. This factor accounted for more than $34 billion in total annual losses, significantly higher than last year’s losses of about $8.3 billion.

The decision to accelerate the IPO comes amid intensifying competition from OpenAI and growing public concern about artificial intelligence security issues. Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei recently called for slowing down the pace of new model development, while his OpenAI colleague Sam Altman has also delayed the company’s plans to go public.
