Warhammer 40,000: Space Marines 2 has received 15.0, a patch that significantly expands the game’s familiar structure. Now, for the first time in Siege, you can side with Chaos, and upgraded warriors have been given a separate Crucible end-game mode.
In the updated Siege of Heretics, the Astartes fought alongside the Cultists and even Hellbrut against both the Tyranids and the Loyalists. Hive’s new map takes the conflict into the heart of the hive city of Avarax, where the forces of Chaos seek to gain strategic position and conduct their sacrilegious rituals. As it turns out, it’s rare for everyone to be in trouble at the same time in a fight.
The Crucible is designed for level 25 classes and launched through PvE operations. Players themselves can use Penance to make tasks more difficult, in return gaining Forge XP and unique customization rewards. This mode offers individual matches, and as you progress, armor pieces from the Lamentor set will be unlocked. The developers are calling Crucible their first full-fledged end-game event and promise to increase its rewards over time.
