Beta test data continues to appear online Genshin Impact 7.2dedicated to the expansion of Snezhnaya and the story areas of future updates. This time, insiders show off new fragments of the region’s map, large settlements, and separate locations related to the sixth act of the Archon quest. All information is leaked and may change prior to release.
One of the main features of Map 7.2 is an area called “Winging Mountains”. The close-up shots released clearly show a snow-covered area with plenty of hills, canyons, and separate areas to explore. However, some areas related to world quests and the Traveler character will be limited to the protagonist for the time being. After completing the mission, according to the latest news, the restrictions are lifted and the territory can be explored by regular teams.
On the map you can also distinguish several important places of Snezhnaya. Among them, the large port city of Belovoye and the area connected to Novi Kitezhgrad and Starekitezgrad are particularly prominent. Judging from the published images, a large part of the future area has a complex structure with different floors and underground parts, so the size of the explorable space should not be estimated from the map surface alone.
A separate story location near Celestia looks more interesting. According to UNC and Jelena, the Marker for Act 6 of the Archon Mission will appear in the Chiwantai area (Chenyu Valley), directly below Celestia’s current location. After completing relevant tasks, players will be able to obtain the Cryo version of Traveler’s final constellation. When interacting with an object, the hero moves to a separate area called the Sacred Throne. In the leak, this object is also called “GodGate”.
Therefore, judging from the current materials, version 7.2 will not only expand Snezhnaya itself, but also add an independent story space related to the central story of Teyvat. Meanwhile, according to another USC leak, the main event of the update, “Saving Teyvat,” will be directly tied to the Archon mission.
It’s unclear if the Sacred Throne/Gate will be a permanently explorable area, or will only be used during story missions. The names and structures of new regions can still be adjusted before the release of Genshin Impact 7.2.
