Streaming service Amediateka has released a dubbed trailer for the series Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone. It’s HBO’s film adaptation of the book, and a Russian-language version of it appeared ahead of the release of the series itself.
The voices of the voice actors commonly seen in the original Harry Potter films can be heard in the trailer. For viewers who remember Russian film dubbing, this means the familiar voices of the adult characters in the new version of the story.
Voice-wise, the children’s characters are voiced by actual children, not adult actors. The performers were not named in the video or announcement.
“Philosopher’s Stone” is scheduled to premiere on December 25, including in Russia. Judging from the dubbed trailer, Amediateka will air the series in an official Russian translation: the service has an exclusive partnership with HBO.
