The role-playing game Starfield from Bethesda Softworks is one of the major exclusives of the Xbox Series console. It is also available on PC. And definitely no one expected it to come out on the PlayStation platform, but that could change. Information has emerged from anonymous sources about Microsoft’s plans to port some of its projects to the PlayStation 5.
Presumably we are talking about porting Hi-Fi Rush, Sea of Thieves and Starfield. The first game for PlayStation 5 may be officially announced before the end of this month. As for Starfield itself, this game will appear on the Sony platform only after the release of a major add-on. The Shattered Space DLC is expected to be released on Xbox Series and PC before the end of this year. And after this, Microsoft will present a version for the competitive platform PlayStation 5.
Such plans indicate major changes in Microsoft’s strategy. The company has big problems promoting its consoles. At the start of the current generation, the Xbox Series seemed more promising, but the PlayStation 5 was able to achieve higher sales thanks to excellent exclusives. At the same time, Sony is gradually starting to release all of its hits on PC. And now Microsoft has decided to expand the audience of its projects as much as possible.
