Although the word “Zenfone” brings to mind a compact device for most people in the smartphone space, it looks like Asus wants to buck the trend and release a slightly larger smartphone. The new name of the device is Zenfone 11 Ultra.
The leak, discovered by Reddit user Td3v1l while digging into the latest ROG 8 firmware update, gives us a first look at the Zenfone 11 Ultra with a series of renders, including a retail box, as well as a detailed list of specs.

Do not worry! There will also be a regular version and it seems that it will be as compact as the Zenfone 10. And the launch of the Zenfone 11 Ultra could be the company’s attempt to target a wider audience, and not just geeks.
According to the renders that we were able to find, the 11 Ultra is somewhat similar to the ROG 8 Pro in terms of design. The color selection is also decent: Eternal Black, Skyline Blue, Misty Gray, Verdure Green and Desert Sienna.
The cover letter confirms that the Zenfone 11 Ultra will share most of the key specs with the ROG Phone 8/8 Pro, but with a 144Hz refresh rate instead of the ROG Phone 8’s 165Hz.
The smartphone will have a 6.78” AMOLED LTPO display with a resolution of 1,080 x 2,400 pixels with a cutout for a 32-megapixel front camera and a top-end Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor. Other specifications include 16 GB of RAM. 512 GB. The battery has a capacity of 5500 mAh and supports 65W wired charging and 15W wireless charging.
The leak also reveals the same camera setup, consisting of a 50MP IMX890 main sensor, a 32MP telephoto with 3x optical zoom, and a 13MP ultra-wide-angle lens.
