The best speakers for PC:
Bose Companion 2 Series III: our PC speaker recommendation
The Companion 2 are Bose’s entry-level PC speakers and, in our opinion, are the best compromise in the PC speaker field. The first reason for this is a limited footprint and a very discreet design. The two speakers will fit perfectly into any interior, while leaving space on your desk.
The counterpart of this limited size is logical: the Companion 2 does not shine on the bass. A few frequencies will be chewed up at the very bottom of the spectrum. This can be a bit annoying in some cases, although generally speaking, you shouldn’t really notice it on a daily basis. Given their price, they couldn’t work miracles either.
We also appreciate the presence of a volume potentiometer on the front, easy to access, as well as a 3.5 mm jack output on the front. This is always handy if you need to keep the noise down for one reason or another, especially if you don’t have a front audio output on your PC tower. Priced at less than 110 euros, the Bose Companion 2 Series III are, in our opinion, the best choice for PC speakers.

Audio Engine A2+ : l’option premium
If you are looking to move up a notch, even if it means spending more, we advise you to turn to the AudioEngine A2+ 60 W speakers. In addition to the brand’s historically recognized audio quality, they have the advantage of offering Bluetooth, which which will allow you to easily enjoy it with your mobile devices as well.
They also have a Phono input for a vinyl turntable and a 3.5 inch jack input. In short, it’s a pair of all-purpose speakers which, to complete an already complete picture, includes a 24-bit DAC to transform your digital signal into an analog signal in the best possible way. On the other hand, you will have to pay the tidy sum of 300 euros to take advantage of it.

Razer Nommo Chroma: for LED lovers
If you are a gamer and you like things full of LEDs, know that Razer offers the Nommo Chroma speakers with RGB LEDs which will be added to your hardware from Razer’s Chroma ecosystem, such as keyboards and mice . It’s fun for the atmosphere, especially for playing in the dark. They also have the merit of being quite nicely designed and put together. This makes them more discreet… when the lighting is not in operation.
Unlike Bose, Razer sound isn’t always very well balanced. It is therefore much more for the lights than for the sound that you should opt for the Nommo Chroma. Allow around 180 euros to get your hands on it, which is a bit expensive considering the level of the audio. That being said, the RGB lighting gives them an undeniable extra soul.

Logitech Z200: inexpensive PC speakers
Conversely, if you have a limited budget, we recommend that you go to Logitech and its Z200 speakers. Sold for around 50 euros, you shouldn’t expect miracles in terms of sound. However, they will be very suitable as a backup solution when you don’t want to wear your helmet. Note that they also include a 3.5mm jack input and output.
Small joke, with a bass adjustment wheel, but once again, with such small speakers, it will serve to reduce them more than to increase them. Both speakers offer a power of 10 W peak. In other words, you won’t make the walls shake. The Z200 also exists in a Bluetooth version, numbered Z207 and sold for 50 euros. It’s a nice little extra when needed.

Logitech Z906: for maximum immersion
Although we often imagine 5.1 kits reserved for living rooms, this is not always the case. Logitech has indeed been offering its Z906 kit for a long time.
Made up of 5 speakers and a subwoofer, this kit is also accompanied by a docking station which includes the connections. The latter consists of two optical inputs, one coaxial as well as RCA and traditional mini jack inputs. However, we regret the absence of an HDMI input which would have been practical for the most recent consoles.
From a purely sonic point of view, things are quite satisfactory. The speakers sound clean and detailed, with enough power to shake the walls when you turn up the volume.
If you want big sound for your PC (or your TV) without investing in a real home cinema kit with amplifier, we can’t do better despite the age of this kit (10 years all the same…).

Razer Leviathan V2 Pro : la barre de son gaming pour PC
The Razer Leviathan V2 Pro is a gaming speaker that takes the form of a soundbar. It will thus slip under your PC monitor – its very imposing and wired subwoofer, on the other hand, will have to find another place.

It goes beyond a simple speaker, by offering to simulate the quality of a headset and improve immersion by offering dynamic virtualized surround sound. Razer obliges, we discover a black design, sober and particularly neat.
In terms of sound performance, there is plenty to do: the bar delivers powerful, very powerful sound. If you plan to listen to music on your PC, this is also an excellent option. Thanks to a face tracking method (using Headphone mode), you will be able to move in all directions, your perception of sound will not change.

Choosing your PC speakers wisely
Why choose a PC speaker rather than a traditional speaker?
Because they are designed to work with a computer. They generally have a form factor more suitable for placing on a desk and limiting space requirements. Some speakers, generally high-end, plug directly into USB and also integrate their own DAC (digital/analog signal converter) in order to offer better quality sound. Finally, some, more gaming-oriented, also have LED lighting.
How do I connect my speakers to my computer?
Most of the products in our selection offer different connection methods. Some require plug and play directly on your computer. All you have to do is plug the dedicated cable into the correct port. Others require a wireless connection. Via a button placed on a speaker, you will only have to activate the Bluetooth of your PC to set up a good connection.
Do I need a dedicated sound card?
Unlike wired headsets which are sometimes quite sensitive to the quality of your audio outputs, most speakers will be satisfied with the output integrated into your motherboard. If you notice excessively audible interference, purchasing an entry-level card may help resolve the problem.
How did we make this selection?
To make our selection of the best PC speakers, we based ourselves first on the price criterion, but also on the size of the speakers, their aesthetics, as well as certain technical specifications. While audio quality is obviously important, we consider it to be a slightly more secondary element on PC speakers, so we focused a little less on this point than for headsets, for example. Please note that although we have not strictly tested all the products in this selection, we are familiar with most of them. If in doubt, we carry out a press review of different tests to be sure to offer you products that will not disappoint you.
