Ben Starr, who played Clive Rosfield in Final Fantasy 16, is eager to reprise his role in the popular video game series. Speaking on the VGC podcast, Starr spoke about his personal affection for the character and said he would “jump at the chance” if given the opportunity to portray Clive again.
Starr, who appears to be a longtime fan of the Final Fantasy series, did a great job playing Clive in Final Fantasy 16. He is well-loved by the community and was involved in the press events leading up to the game’s release. He’s as much a fan as he is a part of the gaming franchise. That’s why he’s looking forward to returning and playing the character again.
I feel such a personal connection to him, as I said, and so if someone had said that we would like Clive to be involved in something, I would have said: “Yes, please let me do it.” “because I feel responsible for it.”
Unfortunately, Starr revealed on the VGC podcast that he has not received any communication about reprising the role. He even mentioned that he didn’t get a call asking him to voice his character in Kingdom Hearts. Unfortunately, the Kingdom Hearts franchise doesn’t use characters from the Final Fantasy series like it used to. It looks like there are no plans to add Starr to the game at this time.
Square Enix released the first story DLC for Final Fantasy 16 in December, with a second story expansion scheduled to launch in spring 2024.
With upcoming expansions for Final Fantasy 16 on the horizon, Starr may have the opportunity to bring Clive back to life. All we can do is wait and see.
