After Apple TV recently unleashed massive Kaijūs in “Monarch: Legacy of Monsters,” we now have a trip into space in “Constellation.” This psychological thriller series stars Noomi Rapace (“Verblendeung”) as an astronaut whose life falls apart after her return to Earth.
We were able to watch the first three of a total of eight episodes of the show in advance and will tell you in our first impression whether you should also tune in to this exciting horror trip.
Houston, we have a problem
The series begins high above the Earth, more precisely on board the International Space Station (ISS). An international team of scientists is supposed to carry out research there, including astronaut Jo (Rapace).
While our protagonist is talking to her daughter Alice (Rosie Coleman) via video call one day, events come to a head: The ISS is hit by something, one of Jo’s colleagues is seriously injured, and the crew has to be evacuated.
Some time after the rest of the team’s successful return flight, Jo also makes it back to Earth safely. However, she begins to notice strange things: she seems to be plagued by hallucinations, and it seems as if her memories no longer match those of her family.…
