The filming of “Andora: Season 2” has ended, as announced by the leading actor Diego Luna himself, writing a post on Instagram about the completion of the main part of the production and thanking everyone who worked on the series.
“Today is the last day on the set of Andora, and I am grateful to the entire crew for this amazing experience, for the years of hard work. Over 700 people worked on this series, and it is impossible to say goodbye and thank everyone individually, which is why I am writing this message “THANK YOU for being so passionate and creating an incredible experience.”
Luna wrote in the message.
The second season of Andor was originally scheduled to premiere in August 2024, but was eventually pushed back to 2025. The cast remains almost the same as in the first season: Diego Luna as Cassian Andor, Andy Serkis as Kino Loy, Stellan Skarsgård as Luten Rael, as well as Cyril Karn, Genevieve O’Reilly, Denis Gough and Adria Arjona.
Filming on the second season of Andor stalled mid-last year due to a SAG-AFTRA union strike, forcing writer Tony Gilroy, the showrunner and head writer of the series, to abstain from the project for two months.
