To say that Grand Theft Auto 5 (GTA V) is a success is an understatement… We are talking about a game that hit the market more than a decade ago, but which still continues to sell like hotcakes.
After all, even after the announcement of GTA VI, the old 2013 game continues to sell quite well, and is therefore about to reach 200 million units sold. More specifically, Rockstar Games has now announced that the game has already surpassed the mark of 195 million units sold.
GTA V is almost reaching 200 million… Crazy!
Therefore, as part of the company’s latest financial report, Take-Two Interactive has released updated sales statistics for GTA V and Red Dead Redemption 2.
Thus, as had already been shared by analyst ‘DomsPlaying’, Grand Theft auto V has sold over 5 million copies since the last quarter, putting the iconic game dangerously close to 200 million copies sold. In fact, if all goes well, when Take-Two publishes its next financial report, GTA V should have already surpassed that mark.
To add a little salt to the soup, we can also say that, at this rate, when GTA 6 hits the market… GTA 5 will have already sold something like 225 million copies. It’s impressive.
However, despite being far from the numbers of GTA V, Red Dead Redemption 2 is also having a lot of success! After all, it has already surpassed iconic games like Super Mario Bros.! More specifically, RDR2 has already reached 61 million units sold.
