The launch of Helldivers 2 was quite problematic. For this reason, the Arrowhead Games team has announced that it has entered crisis mode to try to resolve the multiple problems encountered. However, the game’s sales were still excellent, so much so that the title even beat Insomniac Games’ God of War, recording the best start for a PlayStation game.
With an official note, the game director of Helldivers 2, Mikael Eriksson, communicated to the Community that the team is working on a new patch: “We have created a patch and are verifying that it works as expected. If it works, we’ll fire up a hoftix and release it on Steam first, then roll it out to PS5 players as quickly as possible. We want to thank you for your patience and want you all to have fun playing this game. Be patient, we’re almost there. See you soon on the battlefield.”
In these hours, players have targeted Helldivers 2 with negative reviews for various reasons: from the management of microtransactions, which was not liked, to the anti-cheat system considered rather intrusive. However, the developers are preparing a patch that should fix the problems. We don’t know when it will be made available but it will arrive first on Steam and then on PS5.
