Ozzy Osbourne says he doesn’t want to know rapper Ye (formerly known as Kanye West) after he was refused to use a sample of Balck Sabbath’s music and used it anyway. Ozzy did not allow Kanye to use the music because of his anti-Semitism.
According to Billboard, Ye hosted a listening party at Chicago’s United Center to celebrate the release of his single Ty Dolla $ign, featuring his 10-year-old daughter North. Ye intended to release Vultures the next day, but the project had not appeared on any streaming services at the time of publication.
“Kanye West asked for permission to sample a non-vocal clip from Iron Man’s 1983 live performance at a US festival and was refused because he was anti-Semitic and hurt many people. He used the sample anyway at his album listening party. I don’t want to have any associations with this person!”
Last December, Ye asked in Hebrew for forgiveness from the Jewish community for “any unintentional outburst caused by my words or actions.”
“I sincerely apologize to the Jewish community for my unplanned outburst caused by my words or actions, I did not intend to cause pain or disrespect and I deeply regret any pain I may have caused. I commit to starting with myself and learning from this experience to ensure greater sensitivity and understanding in the future. Your forgiveness is important to me, and I intend to make amends and promote unity.”
Companies that have cut ties with the rapper include Adidas, Gap, CAA, MRC and Peloton. Then X (formerly known as Twitter) and Instagram blocked Ye’s accounts, and there were calls to boycott the rapper. Kanye West has previously made anti-Semitic comments in various interviews, some of which were taken off air due to the use of “hate speech.”
Last year, in an interview with Piers Morgan Uncensored, Ye voiced anti-Semitic conspiracy theories and conspiracy theories about the murder of George Floyd. In a December 2022 interview with Alex Jones, the rapper referenced anti-Semitic stereotypes, made anti-Semitic jokes, and praised Hitler, saying that he saw “good things about Hitler” and that the Nazis “did good things too.”
Let us remind you that the famous musician and former vocalist of Balck Sabbath, Ozzy Osbourne, has health problems, which is why he was forced to cancel his own concerts. He dreams of having one last big fan show.
