Instead of a crossed out price of 899.99 euros, the Asus Zenbook 14 OLED (UM3402) is now available on sale at 699.99 euros at Rue du Commerce.
An OLED screen perfect for graphics work
It may have a classic design, but the Asus Zenbook 14 OLED gets away with good finishes, making do with a logo printed on the cover, white backlighting under the keyboard and a digital trackpad. We would tend to appreciate it more for its dimensions: 17 mm thick and a weight of 1.39 kg, so it can be easily stored in a backpack and it is not felt on the shoulders. This chassis also has a USB-A port, two USB-C ports, an HDMI 2.1 port, a microSD card reader and a 3.5mm jack.
As for the 14-inch screen, it is undoubtedly the centerpiece of this Asus Zenbook 14 OLED. This OLED panel has a 2.8K definition (2,880 x 1,800 pixels) for watching films and series or engaging in graphic creation with a high-resolution image. Not to mention that the Taiwanese manufacturer communicates total coverage of the DCI-P3 spectrum and a refresh rate of 90 Hz. Better yet: the screen is touchscreen for more comfortable use.
A balanced and versatile configuration
The Asus Zenbook 14 OLED (UM3402) runs on an AMD processor, a Ryzen 5 5625U. This has six cores and is clocked at 2.3 GHz by default. In turbo boost mode, it can reach 4.3 GHz. In this configuration, it is assisted by 8 GB of LPDDR4X RAM and an AMD Radeon RX Vega 7 graphics chip to handle graphics tasks. For photo editing or amateur editing, it’s sufficient, it’s just a shame that this laptop is not able to accommodate more RAM.
As for storage, it is provided by a 512 GB NVMe SSD capable of quickly launching applications and transferring files at high speed. Finally, the Asus Zenbook 14 OLED is equipped with a 75 Wh four-cell battery for long-lasting autonomy thanks to the low consumption of the components. The Taiwanese manufacturer also communicates very fast recharging with the 65 W power supply, in just 49 minutes it would be possible to recover 60% of the battery.
