The sandbox title “The Planet Crafter” has been in early access for almost two years now. During this time, the game from the development studio Miju Games was able to look back on the goodwill of Steam players, as more than 99 percent of the approximately 24,500 reviews were positive. Now the developers have two pieces of good news in their luggage: The early access phase should be completed this year and version 1.0 will celebrate its release.
With the release of the final version, The Planet Crafter also brings a much-requested feature to open-world survival: As Miju Games explains in an announcement on the Steam page, those interested will also be able to play in co-op mode in the area that was uninhabited at the start of the game Planets can tackle. Multiplayer is a mode that was always in the back of Miju Games’ minds – after all, it was clear that “exploring and terraforming the planet with friends would be just as fun as in single player.”

Of course, the basic gameplay of The Planet Crafter will not change. So it’s still about the task of making an alien planet habitable – for this purpose, players have to explore the planet in the style of classic survival games, collect resources and build their own base and helpful machines. The futuristic setting does not require a futuristic PC – the minimum requirements read extremely humanely with a Core 2 Duo and two GB of VRAM.
