A few days after the release of the sales data relating to the timeless success of GTA 5 with over 191 million copies sold worldwide, the CEO of Take-Two commented on the leaks of the GTA 6 trailer. As you will remember, in fact, the first video of the next GTA was shown earlier than expected due to the leaks.
This event generated quite a few negative comments about the incident: for example, a Rockstar animator vented his anger against the GTA 6 leak and the CEO of Take-Two Strauss Zelnick was no exception in this regard. Recently, the management of the previously mentioned company expressed its opinion disappointment with what happened with the GTA 6 trailer. “It’s amazing when the trailer announcement is huge news, and then we were very gratified when the trailer broke the Internet… so we couldn’t be happier,” says Zelnick.
The frustration over the leak was more than evident from the words of the developers and Take-Two’s CEO himself, but despite this the first GTA 6 trailer set a new all-time record on YouTube. In this sense, Strauss Zelnick added the following: “As far as the leak goes, it’s always a disappointment for the team, but ultimately I don’t think it hurt us“. We are now anxiously awaiting the arrival of a new video dedicated to the heir of GTA 5, also to be able to know new details on the production and – hopefully – an official release date. In the last few hours, the company has declared that a launch of GTA 6 at the beginning of next year is out of the question, leaving numerous questions unanswered about the future of one of the most anticipated games in the world.
