But that happened quickly: After developer Arrowhead Game Studios promised patches for its “Helldivers 2” on Friday, the first one is now available.
The patch for “Helldivers 2” primarily makes optimizations to matchmaking. However, according to the makers, it will take a few more days until there is a complete solution in this regard. We can live with that, because as we all know, Rome wasn’t built in a day.
In the sequel to the acclaimed top-down shooter from 2015, up to four eponymous Helldivers go into battle against the threat to Super Earth from alien invaders. From a third-person perspective, players use a variety of weapons and tactical equipment to hunt down their opponents.
“Helldivers 2” will also offer a crossplay function. This means that players of the PS5 version can play together with PC users – and vice versa. Community and teamwork are the main pillars of the game, so it was important to the team at Arrowhead Game Studios that people can come together regardless of the system.
“Helldivers 2” was released on February 8th for PS5 and PC.
