Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth is the second installment in Square Enix’s remake of Final Fantasy 7. Many are expecting to see some surprising changes to the gameplay and perhaps the story, but it’s the fidelity to the Nibelheim chapter that has caught the attention of social media.
It all started with players downloading the demo to check out the graphics and new gameplay features. Those who completed the original immediately felt as if they had been transported back in time. The iconic scenes of Sephiroth on fire and everything else are made even better with modern graphics. To prove this, Final FanTV launched both Rebirth and the original FF 7 at the same time so everyone could compare them.
What’s notable is that Square Enix will give players the choice to play through the Nibelheim chapter from the very beginning when the game releases, or skip this part and immediately go on an adventure beyond Midgar. Provided, of course, that they passed the demo. Check out the post below:
Get started with Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth with the demo. If you completed the “A Hero’s Fall at Nibelheim” demo, you can skip the corresponding mission to the beginning of the story in the full game or play it again.
The second chapter of the Final Fantasy 7 remake will be released on February 29 on PS5.
