Barcelona independent studio Grimorio of Games announced that it will soon release a 3D remake of the action film Sword of the Necromancer. Updated version Sword of the Necromancer: Resurrection will be released on Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation and Xbox, and in Steam her page is already open.
A remake of the original game, released in 2021, was an additional goal of the sequel’s Kickstarter campaign. And now the 3D remake will be released before Sword of the Necromancer: Revenant to give more time for the development of the new part.
Sword of the Necromancer: Resurrection will be a reimagining of the original game, which featured a top-down view and pixelated graphics. The new version is being created on the Revenant engine, and not only three-dimensional graphics are being prepared for it, but also redesigned mechanics and systems. Among them is the ability to customize the artificial intelligence of summoned monsters.
The remake also includes remastered high-quality artwork and voice acting (in English and Japanese), as well as new scenes that delve deeper into Tama and Coco’s tragic love story.
