With Microsoft confirming plans to discuss the future of Xbox on February 15th on the Official Xbox Podcast, everyone is wondering what games might be coming to other platforms. Sources familiar with the company’s plans told The Verge that Tango Gameworks’ Hi-Fi Rush and Obsidian’s Pentiment are the first two games to be released on PS5 and Nintendo Switch.
As for Sea of Thieves, it is scheduled to release on other consoles later this year. Other games from third-party developers are “under review,” consistent with rumors about games like Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 and Gears of War. Other games, such as Starfield, Indiana Jones and Great Circle, are up in the air, especially given subsequent reports that the PS5 version will not be released after all.
In any case, we will have to wait for more detailed information. Microsoft Gaming CEO Phil Spencer told employees at a proposed meeting last week that the plans would not affect production of Xbox consoles.
