In view of the next, important Update of Baldur’s Gate 3 in the name of Valentine’s Day, the Larian Studios social team lists the main innovations of Patch 6 which will soon be available for all PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series role-playing.
After reiterating the ‘romantic nature’ of the intervention which will bring “improved kisses” (we assume with new interactive sequences for the effusions exchanged between the hero and the partner), the Larian studios underline that Patch 6 will introduce numerous improvements to gameplay and Lots of fixes for bugs, glitches and crashesas well as interventions to solve the problems identified in the skill progression system, in the combat system and in the missions.
The Belgian software house then goes into the merits of the changes and additions made to clarify that Patch 6 will allow players to dismiss a companion simply by talking to the NPC with whom they want to replace him in their party. Also thanks to Patch 6, explorers of the Forgotten Realms should experience a more dynamic combat system based on the closure of the bugs that did not allow the correct activation of Saving Throws using Passive Skills. Furthermore, the automatic dialogue system will give priority to your avatar as the ‘main speaker’, therefore giving centrality to the decisions made by your hero rather than by the other party members or NPCs with whom you start a discussion.
The launch of BG3 Patch 6 should take place in the next few days, presumably starting tomorrow, Wednesday 14 February, just in time for Valentine’s Day: the update will require the download of approximately 21GB of data on PS5 and Xbox Serieswhile on PC and Steam Deck the Larian team recommends uninstalling the game and re-downloading it from scratch, an operation that should take approximately 150GB of space.
While a little exercise is good for the body, running back and forth between party members to dismiss them can be tiring – so you’ll now be able to dismiss a recruited companion from your party while speaking to the companion you want to replace them with! pic.twitter.com/8LByU18jbE

With Patch 6, automatically triggered dialogue will now try to prioritise your avatar as the main speaker, so your party members should stop stealing the limelight! pic.twitter.com/dy1Ai5TJ1i
