The new Frostbite Assault update for Crossout brings more vehicle parts, dogfight maps, and more.
Gaijin Entertainment announces the release of the Frostbite Assault update for the post-apocalyptic online action game Crossout.
The update adds new cold damage mechanics, new weapon types and vehicle parts for the Hyperborea faction and a temporary raid with unusual enemies, as well as a selection of improved maps for battles between armored aircraft.
The release of the update also launches a new Battle Pass season with 75 tiers of rewards.
The new weapon types include the powerful Jotun cryogenic howitzer. At the site of the explosion of their grenades, a pool of coolant remains, which freezes the parts of any armored vehicles that fall into them, and also reduces their power and speed.
You can also use the Narwhal cryocannon to freeze enemy parts, and the Skadi cold water cannon helps reduce the damage of enemy weapons.
The new raid “Northern Justice” is designed for four players who will fend off attacks from unique armored vehicles of different classes.
Some of the most interesting enemy types are Berserker (increased damage, but high vulnerability), Pyromaniac (uses a fiery weapon and leaves a puddle of fire after destruction), Rocker (increases damage to all allies within a certain radius around him), Leader (according to their Destruction, all allies in this wave gain a constant bonus to damage dealt), defenders (gives all allies within a certain radius around them an aura of invulnerability), and others.
