Nvidia has released a new graphics card driver package that includes Ubisoft’s MMO pirate adventure Skull and Bones. The GeForce Game Ready drivers have version number 551.52 WHQL and have a download size of around 634 megabytes for Windows 10 (6-bit) and Windows 11. The drivers are compatible with all GeForce GTX and RTX models from the GTX 745 series as well as all Titan graphics cards.
As for Skull and Bones, Nvidia is promising full support for the game, which officially launches on February 16th. Those who pre-order can set sail three days earlier, and there was an open beta last weekend, the progress of which your virtual pirate captain can carry over into the full version. Skull and Bones offers Nvidia DLSS as well as DLSS Super Resolution.

In addition to support for Skull and Bones, the Game Ready drivers 551.52 WQHL also include bug fixes. Nvidia lists three problems that have been resolved – for example, in Red Dead Redemption 2 there were possible unusual stutters on some notebooks with Advanced Optimus, a function for determining whether the CPU’s internal graphics or the dedicated mobile graphics card should be active.
Immortals of Aveum also had stability problems that should now be history. Some users apparently experienced general micro-stutters when V-Sync was activated, which was due to a driver error. Nvidia also points out that it is working on a known issue that causes stuttering when scrolling in browser apps on some systems.
