It was recently reported that the first owners of the Apple Vision Pro were faced with an unpleasant feature of the headset – to reset a forgotten password, you need to physically hand over the headset to Apple: take it to a store or send it by mail. But now the Cupertino company has fixed this problem.
The visionOS 1.0.3 firmware update released on Monday allows you to reset your Apple Vision Pro password without having to send your device in for service. Now users can reboot the headset and start a new installation themselves.
“This update contains important bug fixes and adds the ability to reboot your device if you forget your password,” reads the official release notes for the visionOS 1.0.3 update.
This software release is the first update to VisionOS since the mixed reality headset became available to customers. The first two versions of the updates were released before its start of global sales. At that time, only developers and reviewers had access to headsets.
