Polish studio Covenant.dev (Gord), founded by ex-producer of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Stan Just, presented a new game – a surreal survival simulator To the Star, inspired by Alice in Wonderland.
To the Star is set in a fantasy world where players (either alone or in co-op) must craft bizarre objects and battle incredible creatures to uncover the mystery of a fallen star.
The cooking system will allow you to create strange dishes from a variety of ingredients (for example, suppressed emotions or lost dreams). You can eat the delicacy yourself to strengthen it or throw it at an enemy to change its characteristics.
Users of To the Star will be able to take a break from adventure in the magical Briefbase dimension – in this secluded corner of existence, located inside a suitcase, they will be allowed to build and furnish their own shelter.
The developers promise co-op with support for up to four people, innovative battles with a culinary twist, support for modifications, graphics on Unreal Engine 5 and translation into Russian.
Separately, the creators of To the Star emphasized that they intend to provide users with a full and complete gaming experience: there will definitely be no microtransactions in the project.
To the Star is planned to launch on Steam Early Access, where it will remain for about a year as the game is honed, polished and adjusted. The release date for the launch version has not been specified at this stage.
