Danuser left the company shortly after the new BlizzCon, where the announcement of future WoW additions took place. Danuser later confirmed the information about his departure to the publication PC Gamerwhere he noted that the separation from the company occurred without any bright moments.

But Danuser himself noted that the decision was due to the desire to try “something new” and problems of a geographical nature – the journey to the office took him too much time, so the author wanted to continue working from home:
The author has not yet revealed details about his future plans, although some announcements may be made this year. Danuser himself, while working on World of Warcraft, wrote a number of popular quests, in-game prophecies and books, as well as various dialogues in cutscenes.
