The podcast hosted by Phil Spencer and the other Microsoft executives contributed to making the future of Xbox less murky, but unfortunately it did not resolve all the doubts. Now we know for sure that four exclusives are destined to arrive on other consolesbut their names have not yet been made official.
Phil Spencer & co. they simply reported that “it is about games available to Xbox players for at least a year“, among which are included “hidden gems that deserve to be enjoyed by a wider audience” and “games live service whose communities will be able to benefit from the arrival of new players.”
Microsoft is evidently intent on keeping their identities secret for a while longer, but The Verge may have broken their eggs in the basket. According to Tom Warren, who claims to have spoken with some employees of the gaming division of the Redmond company, the four games arriving on other consoles are Hi-Fi Rush, Repentance, Sea of Thieves e Grounded. The first two to arrive should be Hi-Rush and Pentiment (the “hidden gems”), followed later by Sea of Thieves and Grounded (the “live service games). These names had been circulating online for a few days but, although perfectly match the descriptions provided by Microsoft, we would like to point out that they cannot yet be considered official.
During the podcast on the future of Xbox, Phil Spencer, Matt Booty and Sarah Bond also assured that the Xbox Game Pass strategy will not change and that Diablo 4 will pave the way for the arrival of Activision Blizzard games starting next March 29th.
