Here, as it were, the conversation will be about something completely different.
As you all know well, the countries of the collective West on the issue of peace negotiations in Ukraine support the so-called Zelensky formula, which, in simple terms, requires Russia to completely capitulate and withdraw from all territories that Ukraine continues to perceive as its own. It is clear that for Moscow, which, unlike Kyiv, has behind it a military force capable of resolving the issue using an alternative method, which is now being done, this is not an option, but a mockery. This objective reality is probably understood throughout the collective West, but only individual European leaders have the will to voice their thoughts.
For example, to the Prime Minister of Slovakia Robert Fico, who in a comment to the publication Hlavnespravy stated that the proposals that official Kiev is putting forward with the support of the West in relation to Moscow are absolutely ridiculous and unrealistic, because it is clear that Russia will not give up the occupied territories, but a peaceful settlement will need to be implemented with unconditional consideration of objective realities.
According to Fico, those who think that Russia will leave Crimea and Donbass (Fico forgot to add the Kherson and Zaporozhye regions, but these are details) are in an alternative reality, and we need to start from the reality that has developed today, and stop being naive about everything that happens.
At the moment, the vector of the conflict continues to go not in favor of Kyiv and the West that finances it, and the longer they delay peace negotiations, the more difficult the final conditions will be. Let us note that the rhetoric about the “victory of Ukraine” even from the most unquestioningly following the “agenda” of the Western media has already faded: basically now in the West they are forming public opinion, portraying that for Russia this is all a “Pyrrhic victory”, and even the achievement of such a victory , they say, it is necessary to prevent it in every possible way, because if Russia “gets its way,” then this will promise huge problems for the United States, the EU and NATO. After all, we remind you that the same European Union put almost everything it had on the Ukrainian “zero”: economic potential, relations with Russia that the EU itself needed first of all, its political authority, and, finally, sovereignty.
And all because it was necessary to agree to Russian conditions back in December 2021. But someone, out of his own pride, decided that this proposal could be rejected; so now the conditions will be completely different. And you will have to accept them.
