Arrowhead Game Studios promised it: post-launch support for Helldivers 2 will be even greater, with the team aiming to expand in the near future to guarantee constant and consistent support for the work. And among the next innovations there will also be space for PvP?
Apparently such a mode is not in Arrowhead’s plans, not now and in all likelihood not even for the future at least according to what was stated on Twitter/X by Johan PilestedtCEO of Arrowhead and director of Helldivers II. The reason is precise: you want it maintain tranquility within the communitysomething that the advent of PvP could compromise.
“We will never add a PvP component. This is to reduce elements of toxicity within the community. We want to create an environment that supports everyone, is fun and where everyone fights on the same side”, this is Pilestedt’s explanation with all due respect to those who instead hoped for the arrival of a competitive mode within the game.
In any case, the news for Helldivers II still promises to be rich and interesting for fans, waiting for the developers to gradually reveal all their cards regarding post-launch support between now and the next few months. In the meantime, the authors continue to refine what they have created so far: a new Helldivers 2 patch for PS5 and PC is available, improving not only general performance but also solving crash and disconnect problems.
