Blackbird Interactive confirmed to the Game Developer portal that layoffs have taken place at the studio again.
The exact number of employees affected was not specified. It is known that they were involved in projects whose development was eventually canceled by Blackbird partners. Some of the dismissed specialists held positions of lead producer, assistant programmer and game director.
According to a studio spokesperson, the cuts were part of an “internal reorganization plan” that was in turn caused by “external economic pressure.” Blackbird executives tried to find other ways to resolve the situation, but they were unsuccessful.
Let us remind you that in August last year the studio fired more than 40 employees.
