The Samsung Galaxy S24 (test) and Galaxy S24 Ultra (test) will receive their first software update. This firmware aims to correct some inconsistencies noted in the initial update of these flagships, particularly when using camera modes.
Samsung will improve the Galaxy S24 camera
In a press release, Samsung said that it has improved the Galaxy S24’s camera with a new update. Zoom performance has been improved.
For example, photos taken with periscope and zoom modes from the smartphone camera should offer better dynamic range control and overall image quality compared to the previous firmware the device boots on.
That’s not all. Portrait mode would have a better bokeh effect and better detection of subject edges. Night photography would also have been improved with better noise reduction and better capture of details in dark areas.
In addition, the update makes it possible to strengthen video recordings. Video shooting has been improved with better image stabilization and color capture.

Aside from the camera fixes, the software update also added a new “Vividness” slider in the advanced display settings of all three Galaxy S24 models.
This new option allows you to choose between brighter, more saturated colors, or more natural, more neutral colors. Which should finally address one of the problems raised by users, namely that the Galaxy S24 screen was too bland.
This Vividness slider will be located directly below the RGB controls in the advanced tab. To find it, you’ll go to Settings > Display > Display mode > Advanced settings.
This update based on Android 14 will be available in February, in any case what Samsung promises.
