What: Twitch
February 16, 2024 at 12:00 p.m. – Jason “Pirate Software” Hall, formerly of Blizzard (WoW) and Amazon, made a name for himself on YouTube and Twitch with a clever strategy and increased his audience by more than 1,000 within three months % increased – where does the dramatic increase come from?
Already knew? The streaming community has one more attraction: Jason Thor Hall, known as “Pirate Software” on Twitch, is currently experiencing a real boost in viewer numbers. The indie developer and former Blizzard and Amazon employee grew his Twitch channel by over 1,000% in just three months. His recipe for success? A small but impactful adjustment to his YouTube Shorts strategy.
Hall’s secret lies in an unusual decision: not automatically informing his subscribers about new YouTube shorts! But isn’t this approach more damaging? Not at all! This means that its content is mainly presented to more active users. If they interact with the content, the shorts are in turn suggested to a new audience, and so on. This tactic not only improved his visibility on YouTube, but also significantly increased his presence on Twitch.
