Developer Sloclap’s martial arts game Sifu celebrated two years of release last Wednesday, February 8th. To mark the occasion, the studio released some data about the community that tried out the game. The information was released by the official profile of the game on the social network X, formerly Twitter. In addition to the data published in the infographic, among the information there is a surprise for fans.
According to official information published by the developer, 78.9% of players chose to control a male character throughout the journey. The highest difficulty level was chosen least often, and normal was chosen most often – 70.4% of players.
At the same time, the most unlocked ending was the path of revenge (21.9%), and the good ending was chosen in 9.77% of games. This data also shows that just over 30% of the audience actually made it to the end credits of the game.
In terms of languages, the most preferred languages were English (57.2%) and Chinese (20.5%) – the latter was only added in a later update to the game. Russian, Italian, Brazilian and other languages were used by 11.9% of players
Sloclap also reported that 7.5% of players unlocked all skills and only 0.23% reached the gold level in the hardest challenge in Arena mode. If you add up the entire audience, Sifu players have played more than 1.66 million days.
At the end of the infographic, the studio confirmed that Sifu will have a new update, which was not in the original plan. Players are waiting for new free outfits and skins, but their contents have not yet been revealed. The update will be released in February 2024.
Sifu is available for PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch. The game sold over 2 million copies in just one year and was considered a commercial success when it launched on the Steam platform.
