As promised, on February 16, a demonstration of the gameplay of the historical action role-playing action “Troubles” from Cyberia Nova took place. Instead of a development diary dedicated to the combat system, however, players were treated to a let’s play from a popular streamer.
Let us remember that “The Troubles” is based on the novel “Yuri Miloslavsky, or the Russians in 1612.” Miloslavsky participates in the Battle of Moscow and other important events, contributes to the end of the Time of Troubles and the unification of Muscovite Rus’.
In a video on YouTube (it is also available on VKontakte), blogger Alina Rin showed the first hour of the Time of Troubles: an introductory video, a prologue in a snowy forest and a location on the estate of boyar Timofey Kruchina-Shalonsky.
The girl was playing an “early” version of Troubles (0.8.136, according to the text on the screen), which explains the numerous rough edges she encountered, such as graphical artifacts, repetitive NPCs, sluggish animation and combat system.
In Alina Rin’s video, you can evaluate the local weather, lighting, reflections, character voice acting, battles (at 17:22, 21:16 and 25:55), conversations with NPCs, the interface (including equipment and leveling up), as well as the in-game database knowledge.
Viewers’ opinions about the first hour of “Troubles” gameplay were divided: some say that the game looks good for an AA project, while others say that the developers should not have called The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt’s combat system “monstrous.”
The release of “The Troubles” is expected on April 4 exclusively on VK Play, where the game will be sold for 2,015 rubles (1,612 rubles for pre-order). In anticipation of the launch, a “free training version” will be released with the opportunity to walk around Moscow.
