Within a year, another 40 million players registered in the store.
Epic Games has published a mini-report on the results of the Epic Games Store in 2023. Over the year, the number of registered users in the store grew by 40 million, and the monthly audience grew from 68 to 75 million accounts.
In 2023, players spent $950 million in the store, 16% more than in 2022. It is noteworthy that they spent $310 million on games from third-party developers, 13% less than a year ago, which means Epic Games earned significantly more from the store than a year earlier.
The store gave away 86 free games to players, with a total value of $2,055. Epic Games Store users received about 586 million copies of free projects.
Over the course of the year, more than 1,300 games were released on the Epic Games Store. The total number of games in the store’s library has almost doubled: the Epic Games Store now offers over 2,900 projects.
In 2024, the store developers intend to redesign the download manager, improve the offline mode and add the ability to preload. In addition, subscriptions already found by data miners will appear in the Epic Games Store.
