Those interested can test it on smartphones Pixel 6 and newer.
Google has released the first developer preview of Android 15 with privacy improvements and several new features. The public beta will be released between March and April of this year.
Android 15 allows users more granular control over advertising. In the “Privacy and Security” section of the settings, there is a special menu called “Advertising” where you can check which applications are tracking your online activity for marketing purposes.
Some apps may provide personalized advertising by tracking your activity on your phone. With the FLEDGE API in Android 15, you can stop apps from tracking you.
Another new feature in Android 15 is the ability to partially record your screen. Instead of recording or broadcasting your entire screen, you will be able to record only a specific portion of the application.
In addition, Google has begun work on optimizing the native camera for third-party applications. Images taken in low light conditions will now be processed in real time, rather than some time after they were taken.
Android 15 Developer Preview is currently only available for the Pixel 6 series and newer Google smartphones. The final version will be released for everyone in the fall.
