In the last few days, the speculation surrounding the Xbox and its exclusive games has not diminished. Many were already discussing the end of Microsoft’s console and foresaw a bleak future for the brand. Initial leaks predicted that big exclusive games like Starfield or Halo could find their way onto competing consoles from Sony and Nintendo. Last Thursday, Xbox boss Phil Spencer spoke plainly, as we have already reported. But in addition to the announcement of four games from Xbox Game Studios, which will also be released on the PS5 and Switch, there were other interesting statements from Spencer: Will there be new consoles from Microsoft in the future? And what about an Xbox handheld?
The next Xbox is set to be the biggest technological leap ever!
First of all, the all-clear: Yes, Microsoft plans to continue building its own consoles in the future! In the run-up to last Thursday’s Xbox podcast, there was speculation about Microsoft’s withdrawal from the console business. However, these later turned out to be wrong. Xbox boss Phil Spencer has confirmed that there will continue to be new consoles in the future.
But it didn’t stop at this confirmation. In the podcast he even speaks more specifically about the next Xbox, which is probably already in the starting blocks. There have been rumors about a revision of the Xbox Series

We are also currently busy planning the next generation roadmap. “What we’re focused on is delivering the biggest technological leap you’ve ever seen in a hardware generation.”
Is there an Xbox handheld coming soon?
Spencer also had something to say about handheld devices. In an interview with The Verge published immediately after the podcast, he answered the question of whether we can expect an Xbox handheld soon:
“Of course we look at Nintendo and what they’ve done with the Switch over the last few years. They’ve been fantastic with it! And when I look at the Steam Deck and the ROG or my Legion Go, I’m a big fan of those things.” .
However, he also shares concerns about the handheld experience with Windows. The Microsoft operating system is not really designed for the controllers of such handhelds or the small screens. We are working on making these things better. Finally, Spencer admits: “I’m a big fan of handhelds, but there’s nothing to announce at the moment.”

Which Xbox games are coming to Playstation? There are clear indications…
Microsoft wants to bring its own exclusive titles to other platforms. These four games could soon be coming to PS5 and Nintendo Switch.
A few days ago we reported on rumors about a handheld from Microsoft. This seems to be in development, although Spencer has nothing to say about it yet. However, as part of last week’s Xbox podcasts, some games were announced that will soon find their way to the PS5 and Switch. And there was also good news about Diablo 4. How do you see it: Would you buy an improved Xbox Series X (buy now €489.00) or maybe even a handheld from Microsoft?
