Some very rare Japanese games from the first PlayStation are put to the test here thanks to Bruno Sol. Did you know Crisis Beat or Kamen Rider?
Welcome once again to The Stories of Uncle Bruno, the Hobby Consolas section in which we relive great video games and consoles of the past! On this occasion, we continue with the special of the first PlayStation, because it is almost impossible to cover all the rare releases it had. Above all, if we talk about the japanese video games!
You already know that Bruno loves compilation games, so thanks to that we are going to see some essential ones like Rolling Thunder o Gradius.
But there is also room for some very top rarities, such as the Kamen Rider fighting game, a highly appreciated superhero in Japan.
It is also curious to see the beat ’em up Crisis Beat, which has to be played in pairs and anticipated what SEGA would later do with Die Hard Arcade. Cool to see it in action!
Finally, we rescue Rival Schools from oblivion, a great 3D fighting game from Capcom that, honestly, would deserve a new chance in current times. Their fights are very frenetic and fun!
Now that we’ve reviewed more rare games from the first PlayStation, what other retro video games or consoles Would you like us to talk in future installments of The Stories of Uncle Bruno? Leave your suggestions in the comments below and we’ll come back every Saturday to address them… If a Kamen Rider monster doesn’t finish us off first.
