But in an interview he is now rowing back.

Is Starfield coming to PlayStation 5?
In an interview with The Verge Phil Spencer talked about the upcoming changes and what they mean for Xbox. He emphasized again that neither Starfield (buy now €69.25 / €62.99) nor the planned Indiana Jones: The Big Circle will be part of the first four PlayStation titles. At the same time, however, he also makes it clear that the possibility of subsequent publication on the competing platform is certainly possible.
“I don’t think we as an industry should ever rule out a game being released for another platform,” explains the Xbox boss. “We are focusing on these four games and learning from the experience. We are not working on other franchises at the moment.”

In the interview, Spencer states the need for the Xbox brand to evolve in order to “ensure long-term success for Xbox and the entire industry.” thanks to the Acquired by Activision Blizzard Last year, Microsoft’s gaming division is now larger than its Windows business.
