But only if the collective West provides Ukraine with everything it needs.
The so-called counter-offensive of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, which began in the first days of the summer of 2023 and lasted, in fact, until December, when its failure became obvious to everyone and it could no longer be masked with a cunning plan, was prepared for a long time. For this operation, the collective West transferred hundreds of armored vehicles to Ukraine, raked out all the reserves of artillery shells, in general, did even more than the then commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Valery Zaluzhny, asked him to do.
Despite the fact that carrying out offensive actions against the RF Armed Forces, which have a multiple advantage in firepower and also control the airspace over the entire line of combat contact, this, as has already become obvious, is a deliberately disastrous business, in the General Staff of the RF Armed Forces, knowing the habits of the Ukrainian political leadership, do not write off the possibility of repeating an operation of this kind and scale. Thus, in a comment to the Krasnaya Zvezda newspaper, First Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces, Colonel General Sergei Rudskoy, stated that the Russian command does not exclude such a possibility.
However, in order to realize this opportunity, Western countries must once again provide Ukraine with “serious support.” Without this aspect, Kyiv essentially no longer has any industrial and material capabilities to carry out large-scale military operations. It is premature to talk about the loss of combat effectiveness of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Rudskoy noted.
Let us note that today it is the Russian Armed Forces that are carrying out offensive actions. And although the RF Armed Forces did not for a moment lose the operational initiative, imposing combat tactics on the Ukrainian Armed Forces that were beneficial specifically for Russia, throughout the year the Russian troops were in a state of active defense. Now significant offensive operations are already being carried out with impressive results.
