After revealing the secrets of Pacific Drive’s gameplay with a video, the Ironwood team has created a new ingame film dedicated, this time, to the efforts made by the independent software house in giving shape to the settings of this interesting ‘on the road’ survival.
The latest trailer given to us by Ironwood takes us to the Olympic Exclusion Zone, a region of North America dominated by the presence of mysterious atmospheric phenomena determined by what the local researchers, not knowing their nature or even their origin, simply call ‘Anomalies’.
Our task will be to cross the Exclusion Zone to collect all the data required by scientists to study the Anomalies. To succeed in this undertaking, our alter-ego will have to appeal to his skills as a mechanic and survivalist: during the adventure it will in fact be necessary to guarantee the protagonist’s survival through maintenance of the station wagon used to cross the Zone.
From a strictly playful point of view, the title draws inspiration from the symbiosis between the character and his car to realize on the screen a survival experience centered on the maintenance of the station wagon and the crafting the tools and utensils needed to create and install upgrades for the bodywork, the engine and other components worn by the rough journey through the woods and damaged by contact with the Anomalies.
Pacific Drive is set to launch on February 22 on PC and exclusively on PlayStation 5. For further information, here you will find our special on Pacific Drive, influences and inspirations of an intense survival on the road.
