Battlestate Games is known for their extraction shooter Escape From Tarkov. A few weeks ago, the studio released Tarkov Arena, a multiplayer shooter with classic arena gameplay. But does the spin-off work? The title has enjoyed good player numbers since its launch in December, but the future is currently uncertain. The developers have published a roadmap that covers the next six months. But not all fans are happy with the innovations, which are due to be implemented by summer this year.
This will happen in Tarkov Arena until summer
The following changes will be made in gameplay patch 0.1.5.0 by the end of February:
Ranked Mode ImprovementsPreset System OverhaulHitbox and Armor System from Escape from Tarkov AdoptedCustom LobbyImprovementsNew Location for TeamFight ModePerformance Optimization
The content patches 0.1.6.0 and 0.2.0.0 will follow at some point in the spring and summer. These each bring new locations and game modes. In addition, the profiles of Escape From Tarkov and Tarkov Arena should finally be able to be synchronized. Improvements to the anti-cheat system are also promised – cheaters are a very big problem for the developers.

This is how the community reacts: In the comments under the post there are a number of users who are positive about the changes. For many people, however, it still takes too long for the really important content to appear. There are great fears that many players will have moved on by then. And then there are users who can’t do anything with the announcement. In particular, the adoption of the hitbox system from Escape From Tarkov is not well received. Many fans already believe that Arena will be dead until all the innovations can be implemented.
