Tomb Raider is hot: Crystal Dynamics launches the new unified skin of Lara Croft, which you can see when you enter a new web page.
Tomb Raider y Lara Croft are back in the news thanks to the launch of Tomb Raider I-II-III Remastered, a remastering created by Aspyr of the first three games in the saga, adapted with new controls and graphics.
In conjunction with the game's launch, Crystal Dynamics has set up a new website, Society of Raiders, where you can sign up to get some goodies, like two new wallpapers that reveal a new look for Lara Croft.
Initially it was thought that this artwork of Lara Croft belonged to the new Tomb Raider game from Crystal Dynamics with Amazon Gamesbut for now it is simply a “unified vision of Lara Croft”: the look and clothing of classic Lara Croft, but modernized and detailed.
If this is finally the design they use for the new video game, developed with Unreal Engine 5, we will have to wait to see it, but it is likely that This is the image of Lara that they maintain in the near future.
What's in Tomb Raider's Society of Raiders
If you follow the link in the tweet to register on the Tomb Raider website, you can get two wallpapers with this design as a reward.
Others promise “gifts” lateras well as information about future games or other projects in the saga (such as the animated series pending to premiere on Netflix this year).
For now, the only thing you can get is some avatars for your profile, and participate in a very quick survey, where they will ask you if you might be interested in playing tester of future Lara Croft gamesbut without letting any more details escape…
The new Lara Croft game probably still has a few years of development left, as it will be a new “reboot”, not a sequel to the recent trilogy that ended in 2018 with Shadow of the Tomb Raider.
