As reported by the insider Pyoro, February’s Nintendo Direct (not yet announced) it will be a Partner Showcase which will see the presence, among others, of Game Freak, the studio owned by Nintendo and The Pokemon Company, author of the games in the Pocket Monsters series.
Pyoro mentions Game Freak among the partners of the event and we actually wonder what the Japanese company can show during the Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase in February. Okay, a new Pokemon game could be on the way considering that Pokemon Day is celebrated on February 27th but in this case the news is usually announced via the Pokemon Presents digital show.
Game Freak is working on Project Bloom, a new IP published by Private Division and expected in 2026, furthermore in recent months Game Freak has registered the Pand Land trademark, we don’t know if it is connected to this mysterious project or not.
Then there are those who think that the company is preparing a Pokemon remake for this year, maybe Pokemon Black and White or the reissues of Pokemon Diamond and Pearl. Will it be true? We’ll probably find out by the end of the month, assuming that Nintendo actually has a Direct scheduled for these last days of February.
