February 19, 2024 at 12:00 p.m. – Update: Developers of Jedi: Survivor are apparently working on the Mandalorian game. Original: Although Star Wars Jedi: Survivor will certainly need one or two patches in the next few weeks due to the technical problems, the focus is already on Respawn Entertainment’s next projects. Update from February 19, 2024:
We have known for more than two years that Respawn Entertainment is developing several Star Wars projects (see original message). Now Insider Gaming’s Tom Henderson reports that, according to internal sources, one of the projects will be a Mandalorian game. Here are the supposed key data:
The Mandalorian game is apparently still in the early stages of development (probably about another two years in development). The player will take on the role of a Mandalorian bounty hunter during the reign of the Galactic Empire. According to the sources, the gaming experience will be characterized by “mobility” (jetpack), “style” and a high pace. Anyone who keeps up with this high pace will probably be rewarded (health regeneration through kill chains). You should have all sorts of weapons and gadgets at your disposal to suit the bounty hunter, including a wrist rocket, a visor for tagging and targeting enemies, and a grappling hook. The game should not offer an open world, but should have a more linear structure.
