Microsoft late last week announced plans to release Xbox exclusives on competitor consoles. It is known that 4 games will be released on Playstation and Nintendo consoles, but the list of these games, as well as the list of platforms, has not yet been specified. According to insider information and various rumors, we are talking about Grounded, Sea of Thieves, Pentiment and Hi-Fi Rush.
During an interview with Gamefile, Microsoft Gaming CEO Phil Spencer said that Xbox currently does not have a ready-made strategy for the future. Immediately after the announcement of the change in business strategy, Spencer noted that the release of other Xbox games on competitor consoles cannot be ruled out, but so far he cannot confirm anything. And in an interview with Gamefile, Spencer says about the same thing, saying that it is now impossible to say how the new strategy will perform.

I don't know what will happen when we release these four games on other platforms. Like, what is the return on investment for bringing them to these platforms, and will we find a community for these games there? Will this make sense?
We said from the very beginning, after the merger with Bethesda, that we would look at everything on a case-by-case basis. We're really focused on what's best for the Xbox business, including hardware and games.
According to Spencer, there is still no certainty about Bethesda's Starfield or MachineGames' Indiana Jones game. The community of players on competing platforms must first respond to Microsoft's initiative, and only then can we talk about further actions.
