After carrying out an exclusive collaboration with EA in the past, which must be admitted, it didn’t produce very good results, Disney immediately opened the Star Wars franchise contract to many other developers. Several interesting projects have ended up being formulated, such as the Star Wars Outlaws approach that Ubisoft Massive will offer this year. Which are interesting? EA itself is still continuing to get contracts related to Star Wars, but it seems that it no longer has the ambition to only make multiplayer games based on a greedy economic system like in the past. The focus, of course, is Respawn Entertainment, which is reportedly given extra responsibility.
That after producing two Star Wars Jedi series which received quite positive reception while being busy continuing to support Apex Legends which has consistently been popular, Respawn Entertainment has reportedly been given the responsibility to make another Star Wars game. Coming from a well-known leaker – Tom Henderson, the game is rumored to be based on the Mandalorian character, although still without details, with an FPS perspective in an open-world scheme. Smooth and fast character movements are reportedly the main attraction, where with the jet-pack, you will be able to make fast movements horizontally or vertically, with the extra boost sliding option.
Respawn is reportedly working on an FPS game based on the Mandalorian Star Wars.
Gameplay is also reported to accommodate more aggressive gameplay, where the Mandalorian will have the ability to regenerate HP based on how many consecutive kills he successfully executes. Henderson also said that like a bounty hunter, you will be armed with lots of supporting gadgets.
There is no more definite information about when EA and Respawna will officially introduce this game to the public. Both of them also did not provide an official response – denying or confirming this rumor. What do you think? Sound like an interesting project?
