Xbox Cloud Gaming is an interesting service, linked to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, which allows you to play a selected list of video games within the subscription. This is something useful especially for those who don’t have a powerful gaming PC or prefer to use smartphones. At the moment, however, it does not allow you to use the games we purchased, but only those from Game Pass. However, this function could arrive in 2024.
At least according to what was indicated by Phil Spencer in a conversation that surfaced online. Phil Spencer reportedly spoke with user NASburg, as you can see below.
Windows Central states that the NASburg account is real, which helps make this conversation more believable. In any case, it is better to categorize everything as a rumor. Plus, even if this is all correct, Phil Spencer himself says it “should” arrive this year, so it’s possible things could change.
Xbox Game Pass e il Cloud
Currently, if an Xbox Game Pass game with Cloud version leaves the catalog, it can no longer be used in the cloud version even if we own it. This is a significant limitation, since a player who has no other way to use such a video game other than the cloud has no way to use the video game indefinitely, even if he is willing to buy it.
Microsoft’s strategy aims to support as many types of screens as possible and the cloud is certainly a useful tool for this. Smartphones are the most common devices in the world and a very useful entry point for video games for a large publisher like Xbox.
